The mark on the bag
matches the bill of lading.
Your brand is welcome. Another company’s brand is not. Organic, GI, and medal claims are printed only when the lot is entitled to them.
Zarkaar prints the shipping marks the proforma names: your name, the grade, the lot, the destination, and the count. Those marks are the same words on the packing list and on the bill of lading. A carton that says one buyer while the bill of lading says another is a discrepancy, and we do not pack it.
Private label is a real program with a real minimum. It is not a sticker applied on the road to the port. Mango artwork is due 60 days before the first shipment, and the minimum is four containers per variety per season. Rice artwork is approved before stuffing. Saudi retail rice also has to clear SASO before the bag is stuffed.
What a clean mark contains
Short enough for a checker. Specific enough for a recall.
- Buyer name or code, as the credit spells it.
- Variety or grade: Sindhri, Chaunsa, basmati, IRRI-6, 26 mm, red onion. Not a nickname the mill has never seen.
- Lot or pack date, so a claim can find the logger and the phyto.
- Destination port and carton or bag count. Net weight that matches the invoice.
Two private-label rules that are not the same
Buyers mix them. The packhouses do not.
Mango
Four containers per variety per season. Artwork 60 days before the first sailing. Inner-sleeve gift cartons for the UK and Canada are a smaller conversation and are not this minimum. A full reefer is about 4,800 cartons. Your brand on 500 air cartons is a sample discussion, not a private-label season.
Rice
5, 10, or 25 kg, jute or polypropylene, one 40-foot high cube, about 25 metric tons. Artwork approved before stuffing. If the destination is Saudi retail, SASO clearance comes before stuffing too. Halal is already mandatory. Do not send the mango artwork file and expect the rice mill to use it.
Words we will not print
Another company’s trademark. “Organic”, “Fairtrade”, or a GI logo, unless the lot is entitled to it and you asked in time. A TDAP medal or a certificate number. “Product of Karachi” when the fruit is Multan Chaunsa or Mirpur Khas Sindhri. “USA sea freight” on any mango carton.
Onion, corn, and cotton marks
Onion mesh still carries size and colour: red 60–80 mm or white 50–70 mm. Corn bags carry feed or food, because those sheets are not interchangeable. Cotton bales carry staple, 26 mm or 28 mm, and they do not carry a yarn count. Yarn bales or cartons carry the count and the mill name from the proforma.
If a letter of credit spells the mark differently from the artwork, the credit wins only after we amend one of them. We do not ship a known mismatch and hope the bank is kind.
