Gulf onion
fills the winter gap.
November to March. Red bulbs 60–80 mm. White bulbs 50–70 mm. Saudi Jeddah is not on this list.
Onion moves to the UAE and Qatar from November to March, when local Gulf supply runs short. Red bulbs are 60–80 mm. White bulbs are 50–70 mm and milder. The cargo is cured for 7–10 days and rides a reefer at 0–4°C. One 40-foot reefer holds about 25 metric tons.
Origin is Sindh and Balochistan, not the Multan orchard. Mesh bags are 10, 20, and 25 kg. The Saudi market page does not list onion. Ask before you book Jeddah. Halal, phyto, and KCCI origin travel with the lot.
Colour
Red is the export workhorse, sharp, deep colour. White is the milder bulb for dicing, salad, and kitchens. Say the colour. A mixed unspoken container is how claims start.
Not a mango booking
Mango reefers hold 8–12°C in summer. This onion reefer is winter and colder. Rice into Jebel Ali does not share the set-point. Book them as separate lots.
Gulf onion, winter only
The search “Pakistan onion to Dubai” or Doha is November through March, not a year-round reefer. Red is 60 to 80 mm. White is 50 to 70 mm. An 80 mm white bulb is outside the published band. Cure is 7 to 10 days. The set-point is 0 to 4°C. One 40-foot reefer is about 25 metric tons in 10, 20, or 25 kg mesh.
Origin is Sindh and Balochistan. Saudi onion is ask-first even for a buyer who already takes Saudi rice. Rice into Jebel Ali does not share this temperature. October is the forward book, not a July sailing. There is no public price per bag. An indicative offer lasts 7 days and becomes firm on an accepted proforma.
