Pakistan is the world's fourth-largest mango producer, and Multan — where Zarkaar Group has farmed for three generations — is its acknowledged capital. From our hand-picked Chaunsa orchards in southern Punjab to partner Sindhri farms in Mirpur Khas, we run one of the country's most disciplined mango export programs: hand-graded at harvest, hot-water-treated at 48°C, APHIS-packed, and shipped reefer-cold to fifteen markets across the Gulf, North America, and Europe.

Every consignment ships with a Pakistan NPPO Phytosanitary Certificate, Hot Water Treatment log, Halal certificate, and KCCI Certificate of Origin. We are members of the Pakistan Fruit & Vegetable Exporters Association (PFVA), and our packhouses are audited annually. This page covers our six commercial varieties, the eight-step quality protocol, container specifications, market-specific shipping notes, and answers to the questions every importer asks before placing first orders.

The Multan Story

Why Multan grows the world's best mango.

Three things converge in Multan: 40°C+ summer heat, low-humidity Sindh-Punjab desert air, and centuries-old alluvial soil along the Chenab river. These conditions produce the precise stress regime mango needs to develop high Brix sugars without the soft, watery flesh of more humid mango regions. The Multan growing tradition is six centuries old — recorded in Mughal-era court records — and the orchard knowledge passes father to son.

Zarkaar Group's mango heritage is three generations deep. We grow Chaunsa on family land and contract with our partner Sindhri growers in Mirpur Khas. We do not chase volume against price — we run programmed harvests for a small list of return buyers and replace 15–20% of our buyer book each season with new long-term partners. The result is a consistent, traceable supply where the buyer knows the village the fruit came from.

Eight-step protocol: hand harvest at colour-break → grading → hot water treatment (48°C) → APHIS packaging → NPPO inspection → cold chain → load.

  5. 05

FAQ

Mango Export · FAQ

What is your minimum order quantity for mango export?
MOQ is 1 reefer container for sea (≈ 4,800 cartons / 19–20 MT). For air freight we accept LCL bookings from 500 cartons (≈ 2 MT). Mixed-variety containers are available for established buyers — please specify in your inquiry.
Which Pakistani mango varieties do you export?
We commercially export six varieties: Sindhri (May–July), Chaunsa (June–August, our flagship), Anwar Ratol (May–June, premium small-fruit), 12 Number Ratol (larger Anwar variant), Langra (June, early-season tang), and White Chaunsa Nawab Puri (late-season finale, August–September).
Sindhri or Chaunsa — which one should I import?
For volume retail (supermarket programs), Sindhri ships earlier (May), is larger (350–550g), and is the most recognised Pakistani mango globally. For boutique/gift retail and the South-Asian diaspora, Chaunsa commands a premium — higher Brix (22–24), more aromatic, smaller fruit. Many of our buyers run both: Sindhri May–July, then Chaunsa July–August.
Do you ship mangoes to the USA?
Yes — Pakistani mangoes enter the USA via mandatory irradiation in Dubai (APHIS-supervised). Lead time Karachi → Dubai irradiation → JFK/LAX is 7–10 days air freight. We hold APHIS-approved packaging and the documentation chain (Phytosanitary Certificate, irradiation pre-clearance, USDA APHIS PPQ Form 587). Sea freight to USA is not currently viable for mango shelf life.
What certifications do your mangoes carry?
Every export consignment ships with: Phytosanitary Certificate (Department of Plant Protection, Govt. of Pakistan), Hot Water Treatment Certificate (48°C / 60–90 min), APHIS-approved packaging compliance (where required), Halal certificate, Certificate of Origin (KCCI), and PFVA membership compliance. Buyer-side BRC / GlobalG.A.P. arrangements available on request.
Can you provide custom branding / private label?
Yes. We supply private-label cartons (your brand, your designs) at MOQ 4 containers per variety per season. We can also pack inner-sleeve gift boxes for retail SKUs. Artwork due 60 days before first shipment; we manage local printing.
What are your payment terms?
For new buyers: 50% advance T/T, 50% on documents (B/L copy + Phyto + Halal). For established buyers (2+ seasons): L/C at sight or 30-day documents-against-acceptance. We do not accept open-account terms in the first season. Incoterms: FOB Karachi by default; CIF available on request.
When should I reserve volume for the 2026 mango season?
Booking opens 1 January each year. Early-season Sindhri allocation closes by mid-March; Chaunsa allocation closes by end of April. We reserve volume against a 20% deposit. Walk-in spot orders are accepted from mid-May subject to availability, but expect 15–25% spot-price premiums versus contracted volume.
