Origin & terroir
Chaunsa grows best in Multan, southern Punjab, where summer heat exceeds 40°C and humidity stays low enough that the fruit develops high Brix sugar without the soft watery flesh of more tropical growing regions. Our family orchards (for Chaunsa) and contracted partner farms (for Sindhri) have been programmed for this variety for at least two generations — we don't field-test new origin lots in our export program.
Flavour profile
Taste: Intensely aromatic, silky, sweet with citrus finish.
Skin colour: Yellow-green, blushes red.
Flesh: Pale to deep yellow, no fiber.
At full ripeness, Chaunsa hits Brix 22–24 and aroma intensifies markedly in the final 48 hours. We ship at colour-break to give buyers the full ripening window in-market.
Best markets
Our principal Chaunsa markets are: UAE, KSA, USA (via Dubai), Canada, UK. We also accept volume inquiries from other markets where Pakistani mango is a regulated import; consult our exports desk for any market not listed.
Quality protocol
Every Chaunsa consignment follows the same eight-step Zarkaar protocol — orchard selection, hand harvest at colour-break, hand grading, hot water treatment at 48°C / 60–90 minutes, APHIS-approved packaging where required, NPPO phytosanitary inspection, pre-cooled cold chain at 8–12°C, and full documentation packet dispatched with the goods. See the full protocol →
Shipping modes
Chaunsa ships well by air (2–4 days transit, premium retail), sea reefer FCL (5–14 days depending on destination, volume programs), and sea reefer LCL (volume-flexible for new importers). All cartons are 4kg single-layer with corner protectors and palletised at the packhouse. Compare modes →
Reserving volume
Booking opens 1 January each year. We reserve Chaunsa volume against a 20% deposit. Early-season varieties (Sindhri, Anwar Ratol, Langra) close allocation by mid-March; later varieties (Chaunsa, 12 Number Ratol, White Chaunsa) close by end of April. Spot orders accepted from mid-May subject to availability with 15–25% spot premiums.
