What we ship to Qatar

MangoRiceOnion

How this market actually buys

Smaller but premium market. Mango volume programs through the major Qatari hypermarket chains.

Doha is a quality-over-volume lane. Mixed mango cartons (Sindhri + Chaunsa) and 5 kg basmati retail packs are the usual first order. Import permits sit with your Qatari agent; we send the pack 48 hours before B/L so they can lodge on time. Air mango for Ramadan and Eid gifting is a regular ask — say the week, not just the month.

Doha, by the week

Qatar is a smaller, premium book. Mixed mango cartons and 5 kg basmati are a usual first order. Your Qatari agent files the import permit. We send the document pack in time for that filing.

Air mango for a named week is a normal ask. A month with no week is not a booking. October does not load fruit. The next mango book opens on 1 January.

Winter onion, not a rice container

Onion on this desk is November through March. Red bulbs are 60–80 mm. White bulbs are 50–70 mm. Both are cured 7–10 days and shipped at 0–4°C. Rice wants a different hold. The two do not share a casual booking.

Five-kilogram basmati is the usual first rice order

Say basmati or Super Kernel. IRRI is a different product and is not the silent default for Doha. Moisture is max 14 percent. Broken grain follows the grade on the lab sheet, not a slogan copied from another variety.

The permit stays with your agent

Halal, phytosanitary, and KCCI origin leave with the lot. The Qatari agent files the import permit. SASO is the Saudi retail file. Do not ask this desk for a SASO number.

Doha is not the United States hop

USA mango flies via Dubai irradiation. A Doha booking is a Qatar program. Sea mango to the United States is refused on this desk and on every other desk.

Documentation

Standard Phyto + Halal + Certificate of Origin. Qatari import permits handled by your local customs agent.

Programme and lead times

A confirmed order plans at 14 days to sea dispatch, or 5 days for air. Spot space depends on the vessel. A weekly sailing is not a promise on every line.

Mango on this desk is May through September. Rice moves year-round from stored lots. The new-crop conversation is October through February. Onion is November through March, at 0–4°C, and does not share a booking with rice.

Compliance and quality

Lots for Qatar leave with the papers that commodity uses: phytosanitary where the crop needs it, Halal on food, KCCI origin, and the treatment or lab sheet for that product. Mango hot water is 48°C for 60–90 minutes. Grain fumigation is the contractor certificate. The document pack goes out before the bill of lading. Your broker files the destination entry. Zarkaar is not the importer of record.

Zarkaar does not claim GlobalG.A.P., BRC, organic, or SMETA. A buyer-side audit stays with the buyer. Those marks are not printed on a bag or a carton from this desk.
