Pakistan is one of the world's top five rice exporters and the global benchmark for long-grain Basmati alongside India. Punjab — and especially the Sheikhupura and Hafizabad belts — produces the grain that drives the country's premium rice exports. We ship four core grades: Basmati 1121 / 386 / Super (premium aromatic), Super Kernel (the longest and most expensive), and IRRI-6/9 (long-grain commodity, parboiled or white) for volume buyers. Every consignment is fumigated, inspected for moisture and grain length, and certified by the Pakistan NPPO for phytosanitary clearance.
Quality notes
Grain length, broken percentage, moisture, and aroma are tested at the mill before bagging. Premium basmati broken is max 4 percent. Super Kernel is max 3 percent. IRRI broken is the commodity spec on the lab sheet, not the basmati ceiling. Moisture is max 14 percent. Zarkaar does not own the mill and does not publish a mill name.

United Kingdom and Canada
Both desks buy basmati through the year. The UK page names Felixstowe and London. The Canada page names Toronto distributors. IRRI is not the grade on those two desks.

USA rice is a selected-mill basmati program. It does not ride the mango irradiation path, and it is narrower than the UK offer.
USA basmati →Kenya and Tanzania
Both countries are on the rice market list. Tell us the grade. Basmati moves in containers. IRRI bulk starts at 5,000 metric tons. “Africa” is not a single buyer.

IRRI-6 notes name Iraq. IRRI-9 notes name Yemen. That is a grade note, not a live country desk. Ask before you expect a sailing, and do not read it as an aid contract.

What's the difference between Basmati and Super Kernel?
Both are Punjab basmati. Super Kernel is the premium of the premium — longest grain (8.4mm+), softer texture, highest price. Basmati 1121 / 386 / Super refers to the standard premium grades widely used in restaurants and retail.
Do you ship rice in bulk or containerised?
Container FCL for retail-pack basmati. IRRI bulk starts at about 5,000 metric tons. We do not print a 5 metric ton LCL minimum.
Can you private-label our retail packs?
Yes — 5kg, 10kg, and 25kg jute or PP woven bags with your brand artwork. MOQ for private label is 1 × 40'HC container (25 MT).
How is rice priced?
FOB Karachi by default. Pricing tracks the Pakistan paddy auction and the international rice index. We update buyers weekly during the post-harvest window (October–February) and on a programmed basis the rest of the year.
What certifications come with each consignment?
Phytosanitary Certificate (Pakistan NPPO), Fumigation Certificate, Halal Certificate, Certificate of Origin (KCCI), and laboratory analysis (moisture, broken %, grain length).
What is the MOQ?
A 20-foot box is about 24 metric tons. A 40-foot box is about 27 metric tons. Private label is one 40-foot high cube, about 25 metric tons. IRRI bulk starts at about 5,000 metric tons. We do not print a 5 metric ton minimum.
