Basmati 1121 / 386 / Super.

Long, aromatic, fluffy. The premium grade. Grain length 7.5–8.4mm.

Basmati 1121, 386 and Super are the restaurant and diaspora retail grades. Length and aroma are tested at the mill before we bag. If your buyer wants extra-long grain on the label, this is the line, not IRRI.

What this grade is for

This is the aromatic workhorse: grain about 7.5–8.4 mm, broken max 4 percent, moisture max 14 percent. Gulf retail, UK diaspora, and Canadian shelves are the usual homes. Super Kernel is longer and softer. IRRI-6 is not aromatic. Do not let a tender say “basmati or equivalent.”

Zarkaar does not own the mill. Paddy is milled in Punjab, principally the Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, and Gujranwala belt, at partner mills. The lab sheet on the lot records length, moisture, and broken grain. A bag photo is not that sheet.

Sella, crop year, and the bag

The standing basmati book is milled aromatic rice. A parboiled (sella) aromatic lot exists only when the proforma names that mill run. We will not relabel white rice as sella. The process page is the place to choose.

October through February is when new crop is the live conversation. Stored milled rice can still ship in other months. There is no public paddy rate and no ageing certificate with a month count. Retail bags are 5, 10, and 25 kg under your brand at about 25 metric tons. Plain bags at 25 and 50 kg remain available.

Published markets and grade notes: UAE, KSA, UK, Canada (diaspora retail). A country without a desk starts as an enquiry. It is not an automatic second page.

Papers

Phytosanitary, fumigation, Halal, KCCI origin, and the lab sheet for moisture, broken grain, and length travel with the lot. FOB Karachi is the default. CFR is ocean freight to a named port.
