Bulk starts at
5,000 metric tons.
IRRI and corn. A container is about 27 metric tons. Wheat grain is not a stem we will fix.
IRRI rice and corn move in bulk from 5,000 metric tons. Below that, use a container. One 40-foot high cube of corn is about 27 metric tons. Basmati private label is a bagged program, about 25 metric tons in a high cube, and it is not this vessel.
Kenya and Tanzania can take basmati in containers and IRRI in bulk. They are two countries and two grades, not one Africa buyer. Wheat bulk is planning talk only while commercial grain export is prohibited. We do not fix a wheat stem.
What the stem must name
A bulk enquiry without a grade is not a quote.
IRRI
Say IRRI-6 or IRRI-9, parboiled or white, and the discharge port. Iraq is an IRRI-6 grade note. Yemen is an IRRI-9 grade note. Neither note is an aid contract or a desk we sail on habit.
Corn
Feed-grade yellow corn is moisture 13–14 percent and broken kernels at 3 percent or less. Food-grade is a tighter spec you must name. Sri Lanka is feed-grade only. Bangladesh feed mills are a separate quote from Bangladesh cotton.
Papers on a bulk lot
Fumigation, the lab sheet, phytosanitary, Halal where the destination requires it, and the Karachi Chamber origin certificate still apply. FOB Karachi is the default term. CIF is at cost when the proforma says CIF. The inland haul to Karachi is written on that proforma.
