FOB Karachi,
as the proforma writes it.
The default term is FOB Karachi. The inland truck is a line on the proforma, not a guess inside the acronym.
Zarkaar’s default export term is FOB Karachi. You take the goods at the Karachi load-out. Ocean freight and destination charges sit with you, unless the proforma is rewritten as CIF.
The truck from Multan, the packhouse, or the Punjab mill to Karachi is not silently inside the word FOB. The proforma says whether that inland haul is included. EX-Works Multan is available when you have your own forwarder in Karachi. Karachi is a load-out. It is not a second shop.
What FOB covers on our book
The goods, the Pakistan document pack, and delivery to the Karachi point the proforma names. Export packing for the mode you booked — reefer carton, rice bag, bale, or mesh — is part of making the goods ready.
It does not cover your destination duty, your broker’s entry, or a freight rate we have not written down. A booking deposit on mango holds a place in the season. It does not lock freight unless the proforma says so.
When to ask for a different term
Use the term that matches who books the ship.
CIF
We arrange freight and marine insurance. You pay those costs. Ask for CIF in the enquiry. We do not switch a silent FOB quote into CIF at the port.
EX-Works Multan
This suits a buyer whose forwarder already controls Karachi. The kissan counter is a different business: cash on delivery in Multan, not an export Incoterm.
