28 mm and above.
Still Punjab lint.
A premium staple for mills that ask for it. The ceiling is 30 mm. Past that is a different origin.
The longer lot is 28 mm and above, Punjab lint in 170 kg bales. It is the specialty line the China note refers to. It is also available to a mill in Bangladesh, Vietnam, or Turkey when the proforma says 28 mm rather than the 26 mm workhorse.
We stop at 30 mm. We do not sell Pima or Egyptian staple under a Punjab name. The lab sheet is the proof. A visual “it looks long” is not a specification. Bale count for a high cube remains about 80 bales, 13.6 metric tons.
Where the ceiling comes from
Origin limits the fibre. Stretching a 28 mm lot into a 32 mm claim fails at the lab and at the mill. We would rather lose the enquiry.
Papers
Fumigation at bale stage, staple on the lab sheet, phyto, and KCCI origin. Price is still New York futures plus or minus the Pakistan basis, in the ginning season. The premium over 26 mm is on the proforma, not as a fixed percent on this page.
The bands do not change with the staple
Micronaire 3.8–4.8, strength 28–30 g/tex, and trash under 2.5 percent are the same published bands as on 26 mm. Staple length is what this page changes. The bands are not a per-bale certificate, and they are not a cents price.
China means this staple
When a China conversation happens, including a Canton Fair Phase 3 listing, it is this 28 mm program. There is no China fruit offer, and a 26 mm bale is not dressed up as the specialty lot. A show listing is not a booth and not a stand number.
Heading 5201 still covers the lint. The ceiling remains 30 mm. Pima and Egyptian staple are different origins. If the mill sheet says 26 mm, use the workhorse page. If it says yarn, use the yarn spec. A surveyor, when the buyer wants one, is hired and paid by the buyer.
