Punjab milling-grade wheat — origin, grades, and current export policy

Wheat is Pakistan's staple grain and Punjab grows roughly three-quarters of the national crop. Hard-red Punjab lots mill cleanly into chapati flour and commercial bakery grist: typical protein 11–12%, moisture at or below 12%, foreign matter under 1%. That is the origin we know, store, and — when the Government of Pakistan licenses it — can document for export.

As of the 2026/27 marketing year, commercial wheat-grain exports from Pakistan remain prohibited (USDA GAIN, July 2026). Unofficial flour movement across the Pak–Afghan border has also been disrupted. We will not quote a live FCL or bulk-vessel wheat export while that ban is in force. This page exists so buyers and millers can see the origin, the grades we handle, and how to reach us the day a licensed window opens.

What we do ship and sell today: certified wheat seed for South Punjab kissans (Punjab Seed Corp tagged bags from our Multan branch), and milling-grade lots for domestic programs that sit inside current policy. When the Ministry of Commerce / TDAP opens an export window, the same packhouse, phytosanitary chain, and Karachi load-out we already run for rice and corn is ready for wheat. Quality notes

Milling-grade tolerances we work to, whether the lot is domestic or (when licensed) export: protein 11–12%, moisture max 12%, foreign matter max 1%. Fumigated in store. Phytosanitary inspection is booked the moment a licensed export is confirmed — we do not pre-issue phyto on banned cargo.
