Rice Seed.

Punjab Seed Corp certified basmati and IRRI lines. Pure-line seed, tested germination, batch traceable.

Why this seed is tagged

Rice seed is one line only. Super Basmati mixed with a coarse IRRI line in the same nursery mills as neither, and the mill cuts the price. The tag is how you keep Super Basmati, Basmati 515, PK 386, IRRI-6, and Kainat apart.

When to sow

Rice nurseries on this counter are May and June. October is harvest and the wheat that follows, not a day to soak rice seed. One variety per nursery.

What we stock this season

Basmati seed is where purity pays. A mixed lot of Super Basmati and a coarse IRRI line will mill as neither, and the mill will cut you. We sell PSC-tagged pure lines for nursery sowing in May–June: Super Basmati and 515 for the aromatic program, PK 386 for length, IRRI-6 and Kainat for coarse/volume. Tell us whether you mill for the Gulf retail bag or for the local mandi — the variety recommendation is not the same.

• Super Basmati
• Basmati 515
• PK 386
• IRRI-6
• Kainat / KS-282

Tell us the nursery plan before you come. Super Basmati and IRRI-6 will not be confirmed as one mixed lot. Germination is the figure on the tag of the line you chose.

Seed rate

Transplanting uses about 5–8 kg of seed per acre. Direct seeding uses about 10–12 kg. Stay on one line. Do not bulk the nursery with a second variety to “make weight”.

Pickup

May and June are when this bag leaves the counter. Multan city pickup is same-day in that window. The South Punjab 24–48 hour list applies, transport extra. Tell us Gulf-retail basmati or a coarse line before you mix the nursery. District list.
