Untagged wheat seed often germinates poorly, and the resowing bill costs more than the tag ever did. We sell tagged lots and we show the tag at the counter.
Germination on a wheat tag from a current lot is the number you trust, not a slogan. Our wheat page talks about 85–95 percent on tested PSC lots. If the tag in your hand says something else, believe the tag.
What you should see
Look at the tag before the bag goes on the cart. Read the crop, the variety, the lot, and the germination test. A sticker with only a price is not a tag.
Cotton seed should also show a batch and a treated-seed warning. Rice seed should name one line. A mix of Super Basmati and a coarse IRRI line mills as neither.
What we refuse
We refuse untagged mandi seed, even at half the price. We do not explain how to fake a tag. We do not claim that every sack in every market is fraudulent. We claim that this counter does not sell an untagged one.
A belt delivery should arrive with the tag still on the bag. If it does not, refuse the delivery and send a photo.
